Jack in the Box Spicy Chicken Sandwich

When you visit Jack in the Box, you have a lot of menu items to consider. If you’re a fan of chicken, you may want to try the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Read on to learn more about it.

Spicy Chicken Sandwich Options

Jack in the Box serves two types of spicy chicken sandwiches. First, there’s the standard version, which comes on a bakery bun with a chicken filet, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise.

The Jack’s Spicy Chicken w/ Cheese is almost identical except it also has a slice of Swiss style cheese. Oddly enough, you can add the same cheese to the regular spicy chicken sandwich for an extra $0.50 or so, depending on your location.

Fried Chicken Sandwich with Fries

If you know you want Swiss style cheese, the sandwich with cheese only costs about $0.30 extra, so you’ll save money ordering that.

No matter which sandwich you order, you can make more customizations. For example, you can ask for other types of cheese, such as real Swiss or American cheese. You can also add pickles, sliced onions, ketchup, and other toppings.

Jack in the Box Combos

Like many other menu items at Jack in the Box, you can get either a Spicy Chicken Sandwich by itself or as part of a combo. The combo comes standard with fries and a drink, but you can change the size to be small, medium, or large.

Other side options include curly fries, onion rings, and egg rolls. Stuffed jalapeños and a hash brown are also available. Jack in the Box serves Coca-Cola products as well as shakes and coffee for drinks.

Be sure to ask your specific Jack in the Box location about available drinks and sides. The stock may vary, especially if you like to eat dinner late near closing time.

How It Compares to Other Chicken Options

Before you place your order at Jack in the Box, consider all of the chicken menu items. Then, you can make sure the Spicy Chicken Sandwich is the best choice for you.

Most of the following come as individual items or part of combos. The sides and drinks are the same, but the main entree and available toppings will vary.

Cluck Sandwich

The Cluck Sandwich starts with a crispy chicken filet, and it comes with pickles and the famous Good Good Sauce from Jack in the Box. Instead of a bakery bun, the restaurant toasts a brioche bun for this sandwich.

You can add Swiss style cheese, American cheese, and real Swiss cheese. Other topping options include ketchup, mustard, and jalapeños. More options may be available if you order in the restaurant.

Homestyle Ranch Chicken Club

Despite the name, the Homestyle Ranch Chicken Club isn’t a club sandwich. However, it’s very similar to the Spicy Chicken sandwiches. The lettuce and tomato toppings are the same as well as the Swiss style cheese.

This sandwich uses a regular chicken filet rather than a spicy one. It also comes with buttermilk ranch on a brioche bun instead of a bakery bun. If you’re craving a milder version of the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, this one is a good choice.

Grilled Chicken Sandwich

Most of the chicken sandwiches at Jack in the Box use fried chicken. However, the Grilled Chicken Sandwich is an excellent, healthy alternative. It uses a grilled chicken filet on sourdough bread.

The standard toppings include lettuce, tomato, Good Good Sauce, and buttery sauce. You can add things like cheese and condiments to customize your sandwich. If there’s a topping you don’t like, you can also remove it from your order.

Chicken Sandwich

If you don’t like any of the other options, consider trying the Chicken Sandwich. It uses a patty instead of a filet, and it comes with lettuce, mayonnaise, and buttery sauce on a regular bun. Of course, you can add toppings, like cheese and other condiments.

Unfortunately, this is the one chicken option that doesn’t come as a combo. You’ll need to order a drink or side separately. But this sandwich can be a nice choice for picky eaters or anyone looking for something simple.

Chicken Fajita Pita

If you’re looking for a different type of sandwich, try the Chicken Fajita Pita. This item comes with grilled chicken, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, and cheese. Of course, it comes on a piece of pita bread.

You can add mayonnaise, ranch or sriracha if you want more flavor. The standard side to this sandwich is an order of fries, but you can swap them out for something else if you prefer.

Crispy Chicken Strips

Maybe you aren’t craving a sandwich. The Crispy Chicken Strips are an excellent option to order at your next Jack in the Box trip. You can get them in an order of four or six, and you can get them with or without a combo.

Buffalo Chicken Sandwich

Chicken Nuggets

The Chicken Nuggets are another alternative to a chicken sandwich. You can choose between five or 10 nuggets. These pieces are smaller than the tenders, so they’re nice if you don’t want to have to bite off part of a larger piece of chicken.

Chicken Teriyaki Bowl

Jack in the Box caters to more than just American cuisine. While it’s not authentic Asian food, the chain does carry a Chicken Teriyaki Bowl. It comes standard with chicken, teriyaki sauce, vegetables, and rice.

You can add extras of any of those things except the rice. And you can also remove one or more of the items if you choose. The combo comes standard with an egg roll, but you can swap it out for fries or even mini pancakes.
